For those who are keeping score, Hawkgirl is another character that I never thought I'd find myself drawing. Of course, now that I have drawn her, I find myself wondering what took me so darn long.
I'm told, by , who is far wiser in these things than I, that this is Golden Age, Earth-2 Hawkgirl. But let it be noted that I was given some liberty in making her Nth Metal wings look more flexible here than they are in the comic books.
I had oodles of fun here playing with the sky setting and working out the pose. Huge props go to for her perfect pose reference:
Enjoy!

Thank you! I'd love to see you draw her. The classic design is the one I'm least familiar with, but I'm glad to have worked with it. I like its plausibility. It's one of those rare superhero costumes that looks like it could be made easily.

Very cool! I like the pose and the way you kept a lot of your own style in this and yet kept enough of a classic patina that is recognisably comic-book like. Very well done!
Thank you! The pose was a lucky find in 's folders. I'm glad that the balance comes across well. The outfit isn't one I'd design myself, but it was interesting getting it to "work" in my head.
This turned out to be quite the winner, didn't it? You assimilated all the aspects of her particular costume (especially since it differed from what you knew) and put your own spin on the proceedings. Plus, you went from being unsure about using the mace to depicting it IN MOTION.
Plus plus, you made Shiera Sanders Hall just as gorgeous as she should be, considering she's both a society girl and a superheroine who will wallop the hell out of you if you get out of line.
