Commissioned by for , her rockin' (hah!) OC senshi, Crystal Sailor Asteroid! I had so much fun on this. Not only did I get to scratch my Sailor Moon fanart itch, but I worked in a stringed instrument!
From 's description: "CRYSTAL SAILOR ASTEROID (The Metal Senshi) Renge (no last name YET) Parents: Sailor Sun and Sailor Asteroid Personality and other info: The eldest of the Crystal Sailor Team, she is always looking out for the welfare of the other girls. Despite her tough looks, she's a very sweet person. She can be a bit soft spoken when not singing or fighting, and sometimes likes being a bit of a loner. She has some dark moods, but usually feels better after playing bass or welding something. (or tearing apart enemies with sound waves). Like her dad, she likes industrial, alternative, and "gothy" stuff. She especially loves boots that make her even taller than her 5'8 she starts at. She gets her artistic side from her mom, who indulged her creativity from an early age. She can often be found in the company of the twins. Favorite colors: Black, gray, and silver. Favorite food: Anything grilled, berries, french fries, and frou-frou drinks. Hobbies: Making music, making noise, metal casting, sculpting, and painting."
Well, I like to think of myself as more of a facilitator than anything else. I just put up the money and said, "Go!" ^_^
Really sweet female, and you did justice to that outfit she wears. Plus, that is one wicked bass! I love that you choose to draw things with all those strings.
Well, however you look at it, you're still the reason this got drawn. So kudos to you!
Thank you! The bass needed to happen. I don't think I could have lived with myself had I skipped it. Next time I'll even bother with properly spaced frets. (For if they are NOT properly spaced I will not hear the end of it.)
Yaaaay! I'm so glad you posted her so that I may fawn over and favorite it! Another HUUUGE thank you to both the very sweet for the too-sweet gift and yourself for your time! You did an amazing job bringing my girl to digital life and giving her a really fabulous weapon! (Her battle-ax if you will ^_- ). It means so much to me to have her treated so well, and I adore you both for it!
I'm so glad you like it! I kid you not, I was super nervous over drawing something for you. I mean, excited, but also nervous.
Of course! Once you confirmed that she brings her "axe" into battle with her I couldn't help but draw it in. (Really, I was just looking for an excuse to draw her with a bass.)
