I have a friend on here who is looking to start a twice-weekly webcomic and would like to hire an artist to do the lineart. If you're interested in drawing some comics and picking up a little cash to boot, drop me a note and I'll pass your info along to the fella. (But Kabu, you say, you draw comics! Yes I do, but I don't have space on my schedule for another comic, so with his permission I'm passing along the deets to you all!)
Details:
- Style: Anime/Manga, preferably close to the style used in Fate/Stay
[link]- Output: Comic would run twice weekly, so you'd need to be able to produce two inked pages a week.
- Budget: Around $30/page
- Genre: Sci-fi/Space Opera
- Communication: It's preferred that you be willing to communicate through a chat program (AIM/Skype) for brainstorming
- Term: Long-term, potential for other comic projects
If you think this sounds like a good time, drop me a note with some links to pieces in your gallery. They don't have to be comic pages, but anything that you think is a good show of your skills with linearts and anime style.
ACEO Special Closed
Thank you to everyone who took part in my ACEO special! I count it as a huge success with more than two waves of cards filled and some very nifty drawings produced. I'm trying not to flood you all with ACEO goodness all at once, but trust me, there is some technicolor marker fun headed your way!
For those of you who commissioned cards, be on the lookout for a note in the next day or two asking for your address so that I can confirm your shipping location.
Speaking of Comics . . .
I'll have something interesting to announce on the subject of webcomics come June 4th! Keep your eyes open for something in my gallery on the subject of superheroes and the color purple!
